Robert Buderi

Robert Buderi, a former technology editor at Business Week, is the author of The Invention That Changed the World: How a Small Group of Radar Pioneers Won the Second World War and Launched a Technological Revolution (1996) and Engines of Tomorrow: How the World's Best Companies Are Using Research Labs to Win the Future (2000).

Commenting on his writing process, Buderi said: "My mode of operation is to do voluminous reading, taking notes into my computer, sometimes as I'm reading, but usually marking up books as I go and then entering notes. When I actually begin writing, I like to work as early as possible in the morning. . . . I always write directly on the computer, but once a chapter draft, or even a section draft gets fairly honed, I print it out and edit on paper."
