Tuberculosis
This destination is produced by the American Lung Association. 10 million Americans are infected with Tuberculosis (TB) germs. Only about 10 percent of these people will develop TB disease in their lifetime. This site is quite informative regarding this serious disease.
Emphysema
This destination is produced by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. Emphysema is a degenerative disease that usually develops after many years of assault on lung tissues from cigarette smoke or other toxins that pollute the air. As the damage progresses, the effort needed to breathe increases and, ultimately, each breath becomes labored. This site is a very interesting look at this serious condition.
Lung Cancer
This destination is produced by the American Lung Association. Lung cancer occurs most often in people over fifty who have long histories of cigarette smoking. This site provides an excellent review of this serious illness.
