Hinman's site contains a variety of links to Internet resources on world hunger and a survey of selected philosophical literature on the topic (which allows you to study both the empirical and the ethical aspects of the issue).

Food For All
Sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, this site contains an abundance of material about global hunger. Included here you will find up-to-date statistics, information about special programs in use to address food crises, and a photo file of currently vulnerable populations. Also here is a special section on children and hunger, a recent report on world food security, a discussion of the intersection of the issues of gender and food security, and more.

Nutrition for Health and Development
This site, sponsored by the World Health Organization (WHO) provides information about the whole spectrum of global health problems related to nutrition and food.

USAID Humanitarian Response
The U.S. Agency sponsors this site for International Development. It includes a recent special report on the U.S. and food assistance to other countries and information about other humanitarian programs for disaster relief, etc.

UNICEF
This website, sponsored by the UN Children's Fund, includes the "State of the World's Children 2000," descriptions of recent humanitarian efforts in East Timor, Turkey, Venezuela and India (among other places) and interesting articles on such issues as "humanitarian favoritism."

World Food Issues: Past and Present
This site contains an excellent set of links to web resources on hunger, population studies and food-related issues.
