Ethics Updates: Sexual Orientation
Hinman's site contains helpful links to Internet resources, a short survey of some important philosophical works, short summaries of recent articles, and links to legislative actions and court decisions all on the topic of sexual orientation.

ACLU: Gay and Lesbian Rights
This site, sponsored by the American Civil Liberties Union, contains information on anti-gay initiatives, civil and criminal laws regarding sexual orientation, domestic partnerships and marriages, the military ban and job discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, student harassment, transgender rights and parenting issues. Also included are several links to Internet resources on sexual orientation.

Human Rights Campaign: ENDA
This site details the contents and status of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, a piece of legislation introduced in Congress in July of 1999. Included here you will find the text of the bill, a list of its congressional sponsors, a fact sheet that summarizes what the legislation is and isn't intended to do, and, among other things, a list of states already prohibiting workplace discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.

APA: Answers to Your Questions about Sexual Orientation and Homosexuality
Sponsored by the American Psychological Association, this site aims to answer, from a psychological perspective, a number of frequently asked questions about sexual orientation. Included are questions about causes, the use of therapy, the potential for parenting, the process of "coming out," etc. Also included is a list of publications and organizations that can provide further information.

New York Public Library: Gay and Lesbian Studies
This site examines materials collected since 1911 by The Research Libraries of the New York Public Library on the gay and lesbian population. The materials are extensive, cross-disciplinary and cover a wide range of intellectual ground.

Sexual Orientation: Science, Education and Policy
This site features the work of Dr. Gregory Herek and the Northern California Community Research Group and advocates the use of scientific knowledge about sexual orientation for purposes of education and public policy-making.
