Hinman's site contains links to resources not only on race and ethnicity but also on the topic of human rights in general (including U.S. State Department and Amnesty International reports on human rights violations). The site is rich with links to Black History resources, diversity resources, affirmative action resources, discussions of hate crime, ebonics, transracial adoptions, bi-racial identity, ethnic cleansing, reverse racism, English-only educational initiatives and more. Also included is very helpful survey of selected philosophical literature on these topics.
Simon Wiesenthal Center: Cyberwatch
The Task Force Against Hate sponsors this site which monitors racism on the Internet. It provides an email hotline for racial hatred incidents and an interesting feature on a former neo-Nazi on the topic of hate groups and recruitment tactics.
One America
This is the official site for President Clinton's race initiative. It includes an overview of the initiative, a calendar of events, demographic and educational material, and an opportunity for feedback.
A Question of Color
This site is an excellent introduction to the Akron (OH) Beacon Journal's 1993 (updated in 1997) Pulitizer Prize-winning series on race relations. Included here you will find compelling coverage of topics such as attitudes, housing, education, economics and crime.
Anti-Defamation League Online
This site, sponsored by a leading group in the fight against anti-Semitism and other forms of prejudice, includes reports of recent hate-related incidents, internet-related extremism and violence and millenium-related extremism. Also included are materials designed to help teachers and parents confront racism, hatred and bigotry.
Project Vote Smart: Affirmative Action
Project Vote Smart, which attempts to educate voters on a wide variety of topics, sponsors this site. It contains numerous links to sites, both pro and con, related to the topic of affirmative action.
Fighting Hate Across the Nation
This site provides good information about the nature of hate crimes, hate crime statistics, federal and state responses to hate crime and anti-hate resources both nationally and internationally.
