Think back to both Steinbock's and Varner's essays in this chapter, and then write an essay in which you decide whether McDonald's could possibly make substantive changes in the level of animal cruelty without adopting a completely vegetarian menu. What does "cruelty" encompass? Be sure to include Steinbock's definition of "cruelty" and both Peter Singer's and Tom Regan's definitions of "harm" in your essay.
