David Cyganski is Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and is an active researcher in the areas of computer vision, multi-sensor fusion, and real-time, fault-tolerant networking. Dr. Cyganski received his BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from WPI, and prior to joining the WPI faculty was member of technical staff at Bell Laboratories. For several years Dr. Cyganski held the administrative positions of Vice President of Information systems and Vice Provost. In the latter position he was responsible for design and implementation of the campus-wide computer network. He has been recognized with several awards at WPI, including the Robert H. Goddard Award for Outstanding Professional Achievement, the Joseph Samuel Satin Distinguished Fellowship, the Trustees' Award for Outstanding Teaching, the Trustees' Award for Outstanding Research and Scholarship and the Weston Hadden Professorship in Electrical Engineering.

John A. Orr is Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and head of the ECE Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Massachusetts. Dr. Orr has been a member of the faculty of WPI since 1977. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and his MS degree in EE from Stanford University. Dr. Orr was a member of technical staff at Bell Telephone Laboratories, Holmdel, NJ for several years, working in the area of video communications. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. Dr. Orr performed some of the earliest work on fading effects on code division multiple access spread spectrum channels. At WPI Dr. Orr's research interests span several aspects of digital signal processing, including image processing and robot vision. He is also active in engineering education. Dr. Orr has held appointments as the George I. Alden Professor in Engineering and the Weston Hadden Professor in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Richard Vaz is an Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at WPI, where he has taught since 1987. He is also WPI's Associate Dean for Interdisciplinary and Global Studies. His interests include internationalization of engineering education, project- and outcomes-based educational methods, and signal processing. Dr. Vaz received the PhD in Electrical Engineering from WPI. He has won WPI's awards for Outstanding Teaching and for Outstanding Academic Advising, and has advised student projects in Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland, Morocco, and Thailand. He is a member of ASEE, Tau Beta Pi, and Eta Kappa Nu, and is a member of the Advisory Board for the U.S. University Mobility in Asia Pacific initiative of AAC&U.
